Activities Conducted
Tree Plantation Initiatives:

Conducted a tree plantation drive at Dehu Cantonment in collaboration with the Indian Army, providing volunteers, earth movers and other support.

Worked with Nisarg Mitra, a volunteer group in Warje for the planting of 2,000 saplings on hill slopes. The initiative ensures regular watering and maintenance, requiring one tanker of water daily, particularly in pre-monsoon months, to sustain the growth.
Sustainability Initiatives:

Creating cloth bags from old saris. Repurposing fabric waste for crafting wallets and pouches. These initiatives aim to reduce waste, foster creativity, and encourage environmental responsibility.

Distributed cloth bags in the local markets and shops to promote the use of reusable bags and to help reduce the waste created by single use plastic bags.

Participated in a zero waste event held by the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, showcasing some of the products made my the women associated with AASSTHA. Received recognised its environment focus and plantation work.
